For I Remember…, 100 anonymous participants were handed a stack of found family snapshots and asked to select an image and share a personal memory that image triggered. These images are presented in a wooden box, each with a unique barcode on the back. A scanner placed beside the box allows viewers to scan each barcode and hear the associated story through headphones. Each story was rerecorded in the same voice, leaving viewers to question who the memory belongs to. I Remember… is about personal and collective associations with images that are not our own.
